Who is chris?

Chris Hawkins is an accomplished leader with a strong foundation in agriculture and a passion for engineering. With over 22 years of experience in renewable energy and a deep understanding of the farming industry, Chris has built a career defined by innovation, strategic problem-solving, and a practical, hands-on approach. From his early beginnings in farming to spearheading advanced renewable energy projects, Chris has consistently demonstrated a commitment to delivering impactful, sustainable solutions that drive meaningful progress.

Starting Out: Building Connections and Opportunities
June 2001 - February 2002

Fresh out of university, Chris began his career with Tractors UK, helping agricultural machinery find its way into farms across the UK and Ireland. It was here that he honed his skills in building relationships, creating marketing strategies, and connecting with farming communities to bring reliable tools to those who needed them most.

Pioneering Waste Solutions
February 2002 - August 2008

Chris joined New Earth Solutions, where he turned challenges into opportunities by designing innovative recycling and energy facilities. He worked closely with councils and environmental agencies to build the UK’s first enclosed composting facility and a groundbreaking municipal waste treatment plant. These projects were more than engineering milestones—they helped farmers and communities embrace sustainable waste management practices while improving land use.

Growing a Farm, Building a Legacy
August 2008 - March 2014

Returning to his roots, Chris became the Managing Director of Parsonage Farms. With determination and resourcefulness, he grew the dairy herd from 160 to over 600 cows, doubled the farmed acreage, and increased yield per cow. Chris not only managed day-to-day farming but personally led the development of new facilities and adapted machinery in his workshop. His work didn’t just grow the farm; it set a foundation for future generations of sustainable farming.

Building the Future of Anaerobic Digestion
March 2014 - March 2016

As Head of Construction at Greener For Life, Chris spearheaded the design and build of Anaerobic Digestion plants that turned organic waste into renewable energy. Leading a dedicated team, he delivered over 35 successful projects, including gas-to-grid facilities and renewable heat systems—all completed on time and ready to power homes, farms, and businesses.

Taking the Lead at AMZCO
March 2016 - September 2024

In 2016, Chris took over AMZCO, a specialist company in Anaerobic Digestion. With a farmer’s mindset and an engineer’s eye for detail, Chris has led his team to continually improve plant performance and efficiency. For Chris, it’s not just about meeting deadlines—it’s about ensuring every project contributes to a cleaner, greener future for families and farming communities.

A New Chapter with Bio-Drive Ltd
